i-SEP awarded an additional €3.5 million

Article published in La lettre API

Funded as part of the PIA Investing-for-the-Future Program, i-SEP will be able to call on €3.5 million in grants and repayable advances from a combination of PIA and the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund).

The support amounts to €3 million in grants and repayable advances as part of the PIA Investing-for-the-Future Program and €500,000 from the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund). And already, a new fund-raising round of €2 million is under discussion. The Go Capital venture capital fund, an investor from the very beginning, is expected to participate. “We are looking for a co-investor to complete the funding”, notes Sylvain Picot, co-founder of i-SEP, which has already raised €2.5 million in capital since its creation in 2015. With 12 employees, i-SEP is developing an innovative intraoperative cell salvage technology based on specific tangential filtration. The company has just completed a final version of a functional prototype. It must now go through the clinical studies and regulatory procedures for CE marking at the beginning of 2020, which will then allow it to begin marketing.
